Sterling Harris (he/him), a Chicago native, fell in love with tap dance at the age of seven and hasn’t stopped dancing since. He began training in tap under Lee Howard and Martin “Tre” Dumas at age 11 and began studying jazz trombone and improvisation at age 14. Sterling holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from Northwestern University but has been following his passion for the dance since graduating. Currently, Sterling is the Artistic Associate of Chicago Tap Theatre and a Company Member of M.A.D.D. Rhythms. He has also had the opportunity to perform with Music From The Sole, 333, and YellowShed. Sterling is an alumnus of the Tap Program at The School at Jacob’s Pillow and the recipient of the 2021 Lorna Strassler Award for Student Excellence.
