M.A.D.D. Rhythms @ Logan Center For The Arts’ School Matinee Series
Logan Center School Matinee Program for students and teachers
The sixth season of the Logan Center School Matinee Program offers a dynamic series of free performances for students and teachers in grades K–12 across the Chicagoland area.
Each matinee features world class artists in engaging educational presentations. Our matinee programs also include teacher workshops prior to each performance designed to support educators in connecting field trip experience with classroom learning and common core learning standards. Our innovative field trips introduce youth to a diverse range of experiences providing opportunities for dynamic learning, critical inquiry, and cultural engagement.
The matinee programs take place throughout the school year in the state-of-the-art Performance Hall at the University of Chicago’s Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th Street, Chicago, IL 60637. Matinees are offered on weekday mornings throughout the school year from October through May.

M.A.D.D. Rhythms
Recommended Grades: K–5
M.A.D.D. RHYTHMS is a phenomenal tapdance collective whose “sole” purpose is to spread the love and joy of tap worldwide. What started as Bril Barrett & Martin Dumas, III’s formula for giving back is now a full-fledged performing arts company, quickly gaining a reputation for representing the true essence of tap: rhythm. The company is composed of young, versatile tap dancers from all over Chicago. Their ages range from 13 to 42, and their backgrounds are as equally diverse. The one thing they all have in common is a love for “the dance.”
