Newly created position responsible for the finance and administration functions of a growing performing arts organization (current budget approximately $900, 000 and is expected to significantly expand over the next 2-3 years). Reports to the president, manages small staff, and is accountable to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. Functional responsibilities include (but not limited to): financial planning & reporting, cash flow projections, budget development and forecasting, banking and audit firm relations, contracts with outside providers. Position also has oversight responsibility for bookkeeping, accounting, information systems, facility maintenance, and human resource administration.

SUMMER RHYTHM INTENSIVE
JULY 16th-24th, 2010

The Tap Kids Rhythm Intensive is a one of a kind program designed to challenge and inspire talented young tap dancers age 9-21. Each year up to 75 dancers are chosen to take part in the Tap Kids Rhythm Intensive which offers unsurpassed training with some of the nation’s finest tap masters. Daily classes in a wide variety of styles as well as African drumming, Improvisation and Repertoire. All Tap Kids will perform in TK Showcase Performance at the Flynn Center downtown Burlington as well as have an opportunity to work with the cast and creators of the popular national touring show “Tap Kids”. All dancers will have the opportunity to learn and perform new original choreography by worldclass TK Faculty.

The dust has begun to settle and we are finally starting to catch our breath! On Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, M.A.D.D. Rhythms performed “TAKE 5″ for over 700 students at the Harold Washington Cultural Center. The students yelled, clapped and truly enjoyed the live music-tapdancing-hip hop-percussive movement-footworking-filled show. We were happy to be able to present them with quality entertainment of a diverse and unique nature!
