Bril Barrett is a creative tap dancer, whose mission is to preserve and promote tap dance as a percussive art form, foster respect and admiration for the history and creators of tap, and continuously create opportunities for the art form and its practitioners.
“Rhythmic Stimulus” TAP Jam
The Economy is tanking and even with our Presidents innovative proposals, we need to do our part and that’s why we are introducing this tap jam to the American people! The TAP Jams have been growing and the tapdancers have been growing. Come join us every Friday and see what surprises you might see or, better yet, do! You are strongly encouraged to come on down and “woodshed” with us!!!!

Holding pattern to Prague
I had the pleasure of being invited to Prague to share my love of “the dance”. I was supposed to leave on Thursday, Feb. 26 but after many hours in the airport, my flight was canceled because the plane got hit by lightning! After standing in line for almost 2 hours, I was told to come back on Friday at 11am, so they could try to find me a flight. I returned, stood in line for 2 hours again and then was given a flight for 4 hours later. I literally spent 2 days in O’hare airport and I was not happy about it. I, finally boarded an 8 hour flight to Brussels, spent 2 hours in that airport, then flew to Prague in an hour. I made it to Prague on 11am Saturday morning and I was exhausted…
