Orange County Tap Festival, Founded and Directed by Orange County Natives, Ron and Leah Silva.

The 6 day premier tap dance festival features a world-renowned faculty that includes EMMY and Tony Award nominees and winners, leading television choreographers, living legends of the art of tap dance, international master teachers, dance adjudicators and performers!

The Orange County Tap Festival offers students from around the world the opportunity to study under some of the most respected tap dance instructors in the world, connect with dancers from nearby as well as abroad, participate in history lessons, master classes, cutting contests, student showcases, and a family friendly all-star festival concert, featuring world-renowned tap dance stars, critically acclaimed musicians and special guests.

With a mission and passion to further the art form of tap dance, the Orange County Tap Festival’s goals are to inspire all generations and levels of tap dancers both in the United States as well as internationally, to elevate the art form, provide an atmosphere of quality dance education and to expose newer generations to the roots of tap dance.

The Birthday Bash continues! M.A.D.D. Rhythms is proud to present a tribute to an American music icon, Nina Simone featuring new choreography from M.A.D.D. Rhythms dancers, performances by Chicago Jazz greats Maggie Brown, Joan Collaso, Tecora Rogers, Felena Bunn, and arrangements by Ben Jammin Johnson. With Feeling Good: A MADD Tribute to Nina Simone we invite Nina’s creative voice back to the conversation and honor her contributions through the art of Tap Dance. Presented in partnership with M.A.D.D. Rhythms.

On April 20th, M.A.D.D. RHYTHMS is proud to present an evening of virtuosity for the first time at Links Hall. The evening features a world premiere by company member Tristan Bruns, brand new works by company members Starinah Dixon and Donnetta Jackson and some MADD Rhythms “back-by-popular-demand” fan favorites! This performance is presented by Links Hall as part of their 40th Anniversary LINKAGE program.

M.A.D.D. RHYTHMS is a phenomenal TAPdance collective whose “SOLE” purpose is to spread the Love and Joy of TAP worldwide. What started as Bril Barrett & Martin Dumas III’s formula for giving back, is now a full-fledged performing arts company, quickly gaining a reputation for representing the true essence of tap: RHYTHM! The company is composed of young, versatile tap dancers from all over Chicago. Their ages range from 13 to 42, and their backgrounds are as equally diverse. The one thing they all have in common is a love for “the dance”.
